A majestic return trip from Burgh Castle to Somerleyton. Enjoy a relaxing horse drawn carriage journey from Burgh Castle Queens Head to the picturesque 17th century Dukes Head Public House in the time forgotten village of Somerleyton.

What happens on the day?

On your arrival at the Queens Head you will be greeted by our Coachman at midday, you can arrive earlier if you wish. Your horse and carriage will then soon depart and you will enjoy a trip through the wonderful surrounding countryside to Somerleyton, upon arrival at the Dukes Head, you will be offered complementary soft drinks and The Horse & Carriage will wait outside while you take in the surroundings and maybe take a stroll along the banks of the river or sample some of the Suffolk Real Ales on offer.

Your departure will be around 2pm for the return journey back to the Queens Head, where a pre-booked 1 course pub lunch and drinks await. A spectacular 14 mile round trip.

The coachmen are happy to participate in any photographs, free of charge and are happy to answer any questions you may have.
